Jim
Hefner of Solid Rock Productions has announced the addition of Solid
Rock Talent Agency to the production company, featuring nothing
but Southern gospel artists.
The purpose of the new agency is to offer
southern gospel music to promoters and churches with fees affordable
to everyone. Solid Rock Talent will not carry the biggest names
in gospel music, but their talent and dedication will be second
to none.
Jim
Hefner of Solid Rock has been involved in southern gospel music
for many years and was the founder of the Southmen Quartet in 1975
with Tim Riley and Jack Toney. He also spent several years working
for and with J. G. Whitfield. For the past several years he has
promoted 10 to 15 concerts annually in Alabama, and several in Georgia.
The
premier event of Solid Rock has been the Annual Southmen / Gold
City Reunion held in Boaz, Alabama. This event is sold out every
year and has become one of the most popular events of the year.
Solid
Rock Talent Agency hopes to build on past experience. Hefner says
that having traveled in a full time group and having promoted for
a number of years has given him the experience of seeing all sides
of gospel music and looks forward to hearing from pastors and promoters
alike.
